New features
The new feature is introduced in KACE Cloud:
Introducing a new feature - Scripting in KACE Cloud
We’re thrilled to introduce Scripting in KACE Cloud — a powerful new capability that brings automation, flexibility, and control right to your fingertips!
The Scripting feature enables you to create, upload, manage, and execute scripts across your Windows and macOS devices and policies — all from a centralized, intuitive interface. With Scripting, you can:
- Create or upload scripts directly into your script library.
- Run scripts on one or more devices.
- Track the execution progress in real time.
- Automate actions using policy-based triggers such as, at startup, logon, or on a schedule.
- Filter scripts by OS and language for quick access.
- View change history and dependencies for better governance.
Benefits of Scripting
With Scripting, you can perform the following tasks efficiently:
- Ensure consistent configurations across devices.
- Respond faster to operational needs.
- Maintain better visibility and control over script usage.
- Deploy custom software packages across multiple devices.
- Apply system settings and enforce policies automatically.
- Automate repetitive tasks such as running maintenance scripts, clearing logs, or updating applications, resulting in reducing manual efforts.
|
|
NOTE: Scripting requires a separate KACE Cloud Secure license for devices managed with a Modern or Co-Managed subscription, while it is included for devices managed with a Companion Edition subscription. To obtain a KACE Cloud Secure license, contact KACE Cloud Sales. |

Enhancements
The following is a list of enhancements implemented in KACE Cloud.
- Introducing the New Policy Experience
We’re excited to introduce the redesigned Policy feature that offers a more intuitive, powerful, and scalable way to manage device configurations, security settings, and automation scripts. This update streamlines policy creation, improves deployment accuracy, and enhances visibility into device compliance.
Key Capabilities- Unified Resource Management: Add various resources such as apps, scripts, option sets, profiles, certificates, and so on to a single policy. This ensures consistent deployment and configuration across all targeted devices.
- Link Toggle Functionality: Easily link or unlink a policy using the Link toggle. Slide the toggle to activate or deactivate the policy for selected devices.
- Streamlined Configuration: Policies allow you to bundle multiple configurations into one deployable unit, reducing setup time and minimizing errors.
- Security Enforcement: Apply security settings and compliance rules directly through policies, ensuring devices meet organizational standards.
- Flexible Deployment: Whether managing a few devices or thousands, policies scale effortlessly to meet your needs.
- Reporting Enhancements
We’ve rolled out a set of improvements to the reporting module to enhance data clarity and usability. The enhancements are:- Improved Data Presentation: Comma-separated values in reports have been replaced with a more readable row-wise format. This change improves clarity and makes it easier to interpret data across all entity sets.
- Enhanced Filtering Capabilities: Users can now apply more granular filters based on property values such as patch status or app status, enabling more targeted and insightful reporting.
- Detailed Property Descriptions: Each property in the report now includes a more descriptive label, helping users better understand the data they are working with.
- Refined report layout: Report layouts and data structures are enhanced, making it easier for users to interpret and validate information across both views.

NOTE: As part of the recent reporting system upgrade, some existing reports may not load correctly or may display errors. This is due to changes in field structures and property definitions introduced with the enhancements.
To resolve this, open the report, click Edit, and add the missing fields. You will also find more detailed property options available to help you build even more insightful and customized reports. - Remote Device Locking Support
Remote device locking is now supported for a broader range of devices, including MDM-managed and registered Windows and macOS devices. This enhancement empowers administrators to remotely secure devices in case of loss, theft, or unauthorized access.
With this feature, admins can initiate a lock command directly from the console. The command is tracked in the device history, providing real-time feedback on its execution status—whether successful or failed. - iOS Supervision Identities Support
Support for iOS supervision identities has been introduced to enhance device management and security during DEP (Device Enrollment Program) provisioning. Supervision identities restrict which desktops can pair with supervised iOS devices. This prevents unauthorized access through Apple Configurator, ensuring that only trusted systems can interact with the device.
